I would like to make candles, but I know some have stronger, more lasting scents than others. What ingredient(s) do I use to make a candle that it extremely fragrant (like the expensive ones at the Yankee Candle Company)?

are soy candles made the same way as others?

I made some cute candles, and I wanted to send them to my grandma who lives in Texas. I live in California, and I am just scared that they will melt or the jars will break. What shipping supplies do I need to prevent this from happening?

I have been searching on the internet for how to make candles or soap but it is not very clear what ingredients (wax, gel wax, glycerin) I need to use and where I can get them.

Has anyone made candles or soap before?? I need to hear from someone who knows exactly where I can get the ingredients and a clear method for making them.

Help!

I grow rosemary, lavender, and other fragrant herbs. How can I put that fragrance in a candle? If, when melting the wax before pouring the candles, I dump in a handful of fresh herbs, will they make the candle produce a strong enough fragrance after it’s finished and I light it? Or do I need to do something else?

What is so great about Gold Canyon Candles?

I don’t understand why so many people think these candles are the best thing in the world when you can get the same kind of candles from Yankee Candle. Yankee Candle is a little less, has just as many scents, and have stores so that people don’t have to try to scrounge looking for a candle rep.

I don’t get it. Is it just because it’s another “party” to hold and so people just naturally think they’re good candles? They’re going to melt away anyway.
