How long do floating candles last?

I’ll be getting married in a couple of years, and I was just thinking about centerpieces (I’m thinking way ahead I guess), and I thought that dishes with floating candles would make nice centerpieces for the tables. I just want to know if they would keep burning throughout the whole reception or if they would go out.
